Current Planets - Where the Planets Are Right Now

See where the planets are right now by sign and degree. A free, live snapshot of the current sky on real Swiss Ephemeris astronomy, no sign-up.

What are the current planet positions?

The current planets are where the Sun, Moon, and planets sit in the zodiac at this moment. This free tool shows each planet by sign and degree, updated for the current day, so you can see the sky as astrologers read it right now.

How to read the current sky

Each row shows a planet, the sign it occupies, and the degree within that sign. Planets marked Rx are retrograde, meaning they appear to move backward from Earth. Sign positions are geocentric, so they are the same wherever you live.

Why the current planets matter

The slow outer planets set the broad mood while the faster Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars shift the day to day texture. These positions describe the present sky as a tendency to reflect on, not a fixed prediction of events.
